    Purchase of Artifacts

    Pangyo Museum shows the history of Seongnam as a museum possessing nine Hanseong Baekje remains that prove the Northeast Asian interchange of Three Kingdoms Period as the concentration area of Hanseong Baekje chamber tombs 1,600 years ago, and two chamber tombs that prove the southward migration of Goguryeo

    Precautions in Applying for Selling of Artifacts
    • Qualification cultural asset dealers and corporations
      Applications for the sale of illegal cultural assets such as illegally excavated articles and stolen articles as well as related illegal acts are forbidden
      Cultural asset dealers must apply for sale in the name of a corporation
    • Application method : visit, mail (valid only when arrived by closing date)
    • Documents: 1 artifact sale application (artifact sale application)Application Download
      Cultural asset dealers must submit a copy of cultural asset sale business permit or business license
      Corporations or organizations must submit a copy of power of attorney, certified copy of the register or organization registration certificate
      1 color picture of artifact (3” X 5”)
      ※ If sale application and artifact picture is in a computer file, it must be saved in an individual medium (such as CD) and submitted
    • Application: organization of over 10 persons
    • Selection of Purchase: through evaluation by the Pangyo Museum Artifact Evaluation Committee
    • Cost Estimates : through evaluation by the Artifact Evaluation Committee
    • Decision of Purchase: for artifacts that have been approved for purchase, an artifact sale agreement is made with the seller, and the price cannot exceed the evaluated amount decided by the Artifact Evaluation Committee
    • Transfer of ownership : after concluding the artifact sale agreement, ownership of the artifact is transferred to Pangyo Museum at the same time as the agreed payment price is settled
    • Other matters: submitted documents will not be returned
      Notification concerning artifacts that have been approved for purchase will be sent to the owner within 10 days after the decision date, and will be returned according to the prescribed procedure

    Donation of Artifacts

    We are waiting for the donation of your precious artifacts
    • Pangyo Museum receives donations of precious artifacts and materials to preserve our precious cultural assets and use them for exhibitions and academic research
    • Precious artifacts that contain and represent the ancient history and culture of Seongnam and Pangyo are part of history.
    • By collecting precious artifacts owned by various institutions and individuals, Pangyo will reborn as a historical city.
    • Donated artifacts will be used in Pangyo Museum exhibitions and research materials. We request your active interestand participation in the donation of artifacts.
    Respectful Treatment of and Benefits for Donators
    • Providing donation certificate specifying the content of donated artifact
    • Announcing donator and donated details on homepage
    • Inviting donator to various major events and exhibitions
    • Sending free annual museum publications
    • Holding exclusive special exhibition of donated artifacts for large-scale donator
    • Publishing list of donated artifacts with picture of relevant donated artifacts every year
    • Specifying donator name when holding various permanent exhibitions, temporary exhibitions, and external exhibitions
